Who we are

Internews is an international media development organization whose mission is to empower local media worldwide to give people the news and information they need, the ability to connect, and the means to make their voices heard. Internews has worked in 16 countries in Africa since 1998. In Kenya, Internews runs Health and Democracy & Governance projects.

Internews has a state of the art Media Resource Centre, called

It is a one-stop information experience, where journalists mingle with their peers to celebrate a love for storytelling; a central location where a range of online, audio visual and hard copy resources are kept. These materials are for reading, research and reference – tools every practicing journalist can use. The facility also has pc's connected to the internet to facilitate web content research and fully equipped Radio and TV studio production facilities. The role of the centre is to give journalists easy and timely access to information.
