Cellphone Project Helps Mothers Curb Spread of HIV to Babies
Pumwani Maternity Hospital is the site for an ongoing research by the Kenya AIDS Control Project for a study on the potential of following up on HIV positive patients using mobile phones. The hospital’s chief executive Frida Govei says through the research they hope women will be empowered with information to protect their health and that of their newborn babies.
