Jill Cottrell, Yash Ghai and Waikwa Wanyoike writes that the constitution amendment Bill is insufficient. If the constitution is to be amended it is important to consider the 80 new seats and not create additional seats. The participative process that is enshrined in the constitution has not be considered and therefore the Bill is against public opinion. The first first the post election method in Kenya has its challenges but can be managed better through consultations with stakeholders.
