Mutula Tells CIC to Stop Opposing Change of Election Date

Justice Minister Mutula Kilonzo has urged CIC to stop opposing the changing of election date from August to December. Mutula said the creation of 80 new constituencies and dealing with legal challenges to the new units will take the nation up to July 2012. He said this will leave the IEBC with a month to register voters, procure ballot materials and prepare for polls. The commission should therefore support the cabinet in moving the polls date, he affirmed.
