Ministries Blamed for Slowing Down Bill on County Cash

CIC has appointed a consultant to harmonise the divergent positions taken by the ministries of Finance and that of Local government. The two ministries are wrangling over the Public Finance Management Bill and another proposed law on inter-governmental fiscal relations. CIC says the two ministries seem not interested to prioritize the need for Kenyans to move forward.
