160 Magistrates to be Employed

CJ Willy Mutunga has created five new directorates in the Judiciary and announced plans to hire legal researchers for judges. The JSC on its part is seeking to recruit 160 resident magistrates to be posted to various courts. These are among the new reforms the judiciary is embracing. The Judges will ensure many of the backlog cases are reduced while the researchers will ensure Judges are well informed in their duties.
