You can now listen to Pamoja fm,KASS and Ghetto radio on the World Wide Web. These community and vernacular stations have embraced the trend of online radio that was at one time unique to commercial radio stations in Kenya.
“It is the future,” said Internews radio trainer Patrick Rukwaro, “Very soon radio stations will die out just the way shortwave radio did.”
But this has not come without challenges.Thomas Bwire the head of news of Pamoja fm confessed that his station is still not able to stream content live because of technical hitches. For now, the station airs pre-recorded programs only.
